In 1995, Barbara and David Wiedenheft introduced Afternoon Tea to the Channel Bass Inn. Chefs Kristan and Bill Allman have continued the tradition adding their American Culinary flair to the experience.

Afternoon Teas are available Thursday and Saturday from 2pm to 3:30pm for $35 per person. Our teas are served in courses. We start with serving our hot tea. We serve a collection of Tea from around the world. Choices include, a black tea, such as Yorkshire Gold and a flavored Tea option as well such as Pomegranate Green Tea or Chamomile Mint Tea. An Iced Tea is also available. The first course is our Savories consisting of a variety of small flavorful appetizer hors d’oeuvres and a soup option on some occasions. The next course is our Scones, featuring our almost famous Scones made from scratch in our kitchen with butter, jam and fresh whipped cream. The third course is our Sweets, which includes a selection from panna cottas, puddings, cakes, brownies and/or cookies baked fresh with love in our kitchen. Vegans, Vegetarians and Gluten-Free diets are welcome, just please let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly as all items are hand-crafted in our kitchen with the freshest ingredients by our Culinary Team. Children are also welcome, just let us know if we need to work up special treats for them.

We got to sample the lovely afternoon tea there. As good as anything I had in London. Treat yourself if you can.

The afternoon tea was amazing. The dining area was cute and the service was great. Their outdoor garden is really pretty as well.
